In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior:

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government.
A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship."

"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years.

During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:
From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage."

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.
Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."
Olson believes the  United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's - and they vote - then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message.

If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom..

This is truly scary!

Of course we are not a democracy, we are a Constitutional Republic.

Someone should point this out to Obama.

Of course we know he and too many others pay little attention to The Constitution.

"Fathom the hypocrisy of a Government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured ... but not prove they are a citizen."

Justice Department Blocks Voter ID at Every Turn
People seemingly voting after they've been dead for years. Drug kingpins buying votes from poor people to sway elections. Non-citizens being bussed to the polls and coached on how to vote. Stories of voting fraud are shocking, and states have been taking action to make sure that elections are secure. But the Justice Department, led by Attorney General Eric Holder, has blocked states at almost every turn.

This is the same Justice Department that stopped a non-partisan election reform by arguing that if party affiliation were removed from a ballot, African-American voters wouldn't be able to identify and vote for the Democrats. Holder has continued to stoke the racial fires, calling a requirement for voters to produce photo identification a "poll tax." Heritage expert Hans von Spakovsky said this argument is merely political. "Holder continues to perpetuate the incendiary error to the public, knowing that the poll-tax assertion is a racially charged one that should not be used lightly," von Spakovsky said. He explained:

Even the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals-the most liberal appeals court in the country-did not buy the Holder poll tax claim when it reviewed Arizona's voter ID law. In Gonzalez v. Arizona (2012), the Ninth Circuit held that even though "obtaining the free identification required under [Arizona law] may have a cost," such immaterial costs are not a poll tax.

Holder is now "investigating" Pennsylvania's voter ID law, on the left's charge that it disenfranchises minorities.

Former Congressman Artur Davis, an African-American from Alabama who served in Congress as a Democrat from 2003 to 2011, finds this argument incredibly insulting. Speaking at The Heritage Foundation yesterday, Davis held up his driver's license and said, "This is not a billy club. It is not a fire hose. I used to represent Birmingham and Selma, Alabama, and I know something about fire hoses."

In states that have voter ID laws, the real-world results show that minorities have not been disenfranchised by any means. States that require ID to vote have offered free IDs to anyone who does not have one already. In Kansas, which allows any of nine different forms of ID as proof of identity to vote:

Out of a total of 1.713 million registered voters in Kansas, only 32 people had requested a free photo ID as of May 4, 2012. That represents only 0.002 percent of the registered voters in the state. Of those 32 voters, 80 percent were white, 10 percent were black, and the race or ethnicity of 10 percent was unknown. Thus, there is no evidence that minority voters were disproportionately affected.

Georgia, which has had voter ID since 2007, allows six different forms of ID to vote. And there has been no stampede of would-be voters who lack identification: "The number of photo IDs issued by Georgia to individuals who did not already have one of the forms of ID acceptable under state law is remarkably small, averaging less 0.05 percent in most years, and not even reaching three-tenths of 1 percent in a presidential election year."

What happened to minority voting after the law went into effect? In the 2008 presidential election, Hispanic voting in Georgia increased by 140 percent over the 2004 election. African-American voting increased by 42 percent. That is also a higher rate of increase than in other states without voter ID. Von Spakovsky

notes:
The increase in turnout of both Hispanics and blacks in the 2008 presidential election after the voter ID law became effective is quite remarkable, particularly given the unproven and totally speculative claims of the Justice Department that the voter ID requirements of Texas and South Carolina will somehow have a discriminatory impact on Hispanic and black voters. In fact, Georgia had the largest turnout of minority voters in its history.

The evidence that producing photo ID is a burden simply isn't there. "How can it be a burden to ask people to do something they do all the time?" asked Congressman Davis, who said he went to a news organization to do an interview on voter ID and had to produce his driver's license to enter the news organization.

The Justice Department requires ID from visitors as well.

Voter ID battles are not over, and activist groups are trying everything they can think of to challenge these requirements. The Minnesota legislature passed a referendum that placed the question of voter ID on the ballot for citizens to decide. But the ballot question is under litigation because the League of Women Voters has sued, arguing that the question is "misleading" to voters. The Minnesota Supreme Court will be considering it.

In the state of Kentucky, it has become clear that buying votes is a common practice. A person's vote can often be bought for $50. Recently, it has come to light that cocaine and marijuana dealers are using drug money to buy votes and turn elections. According to one report, "In the Eastern District of Kentucky alone, more than 20 public elected officials and others have either been convicted or pleaded guilty in various vote-buying cases just in the last two years."

America cannot allow its elections to be anything but secure and legal. Preventing voter fraud is common sense, and it is outrageous that the U.S. Justice Department would stand in the way.

Fox News is reporting that during a last Thursday press conference on Capitol Hill, union heads representing the two law enforcement bureaus "slammed the Obama administration" over what they claim is forcing officials to ignore the law and empowering illegals to game the system -- potentially throwing the door open for widespread exploitation.

Solyndra Revelations Show It's Time to Close the "Bank of Washington"

"The Bank of Washington continues to help us!" bragged Solyndra CEO Chris Gronet in emails released last week.

An investigation by the House Energy and Commerce Committee revealed that Solyndra-the solar company that went under, taking more than $600 million in taxpayer funds with it-wasn't ever supposed to be an independent business. It was built to rely on the taxpayers.

"Getting business from Uncle Sam is a principal element of Solyndra's channel strategy," wrote Tom Baruch, founder of Solyndra investor CEMA Capital, in an August 10, 2010 email.

Getting federal money was integral to Solyndra's business model. But even with government backing, Solyndra failed-just one of a growing list of companies in the Green Graveyard that took taxpayer money and went bankrupt.

The emails released between Solyndra stakeholders and Obama Administration officials show that Solyndra's investors knew the company was a bad bet for taxpayers, but the Administration wanted the energy loan guarantee program to be perceived as successful. Meanwhile, the Government Accountability Office was finding that the Department of Energy played favorites with the program, and high-level advisers including Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner were raising red flags.

When it became clear that the company wasn't going to make it, White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer wrote to White House insiders Stephanie Cutter and David Plouffe: "This is going to be a real pain, Solyndra is about to go under apparently."

Despite 12 such failures-companies taking taxpayer money yet going bankrupt-the Administration hasn't given up its push for solar. In July, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar characterized the bankruptcies and delays that have plagued the solar manufacturing sector as "just minor (and expected) blips for the industry."

"Across the Administration, we're looking at ways to create jobs and strengthen the economy-and a big part of that is building a sustainable, clean energy future," Salazar said. But as Heritage's Michael Sandoval

reports:
Salazar's touting of job creation is at odds with the Department of Energy's David Frantz, who oversees the DOE loan guarantee program..Frantz told House members that these large, utility-scale renewable projects really could not be counted upon for creating jobs. "The predominance of our portfolio-and the objective, really, of the act-is to be creating large infrastructure, utility-scale projects; and, by definition, they are not a multiplier for job creation," Frantz said.

Still, lawmakers in both parties have embraced the job creation fallacy. Heritage's Nicolas Loris has noted that both Democrats and Republicans:

...like loan guarantees (or tax credits or direct grants) if they support projects for their politically preferred sources of energy, such as clean coal and nuclear, or if they bring jobs to their districts that they can take credit for creating. But these programs do not create jobs. They misallocate labor and capital by shifting taxpayer dollars away from economical projects and toward political ones.

Energy subsidies, whether in the form of taxpayer-backed loans or outright grants, are a bipartisan boondoggle that simply does not work. Looking back, President George W. Bush's solar initiative sounds very similar when compared to President Obama's.

The aptly named "No More Solyndras" Act, now in the House Energy and Commerce Committee, would stop the government from giving out new taxpayer-backed loan guarantees. For applications that are already under consideration or have received conditional commitment, the bill would require the Secretary of the Treasury to make a recommendation based on the merits of the program. Although not perfect, the legislation moves us in the right direction toward finally ending this program.

As subcommittee chairman Ed Whitfield (R-KY) said last week, "Instead of handing out billions in loan guarantees to selected companies, we can do much more good by removing billions in unnecessary regulatory compliance costs."

There are plenty of job-killing regulations holding back American companies. A lack of taxpayer dollars is not the problem. It's time to close the "Bank of Washington" and allow truly successful, viable technologies to rise to the top.

Obama Denies Gutting Welfare Reform

Obama Administration

The Obama Administration came out swinging against its critics on welfare reform yesterday, with Press Secretary Jay Carney saying the charge that the Administration gutted the successful 1996 reform's work requirements is "categorically false" and "blatantly dishonest." Even former President Bill Clinton, who signed the reform into law, came out parroting the Obama team's talking points and saying the charge was "not true."

The Heritage Foundation's Robert Rector and Kiki Bradley first broke the story on July 12 that Obama's Health and Human Services Department (HHS) had rewritten the Clinton-era reform to undo the work requirements, in a move that legal experts Todd Gaziano and Robert Alt determined was patently illegal.

The Administration's new argument has two parts: denying the Obama Administration's actions and claiming that Republican governors, including Mitt Romney, tried to do the same thing. In essence, "We did not do what you're saying, but even if we did, some Republicans did it, too." Both parts of this argument are easily debunked.

Obama Administration Claim #1: We Didn't Gut Work Requirements

Ever since the 1996 law passed, Democratic leaders have attempted (unsuccessfully) to repeal welfare's work standards, blocking reauthorization of the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program (TANF) and attempting to weaken the requirements. Unable to eliminate "workfare" legislatively, the Obama HHS claimed authority to grant waivers that allow states to get around the work requirements./

Humorously, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius now asserts that the Administration abolished the TANF work requirements to increase work.

HHS now claims that states receiving a waiver must "commit that their proposals will move at least 20 percent more people from welfare to work compared to the state's prior performance." But given the normal turnover rate in welfare programs, the easiest way to increase the number of people moving from "welfare to work" is to increase the number entering welfare in the first place.

Bogus statistical ploys like these were the norm before the 1996 reform. The law curtailed use of sham measures of success and established meaningful standards: Participating in work activities meant actual work activities, not "bed rest" or "reading" or doing one hour of job search per month; reducing welfare dependence meant reducing caseloads. Now those standards are gone.

Obama's HHS claims authority to overhaul every aspect of the TANF work provisions (contained in section 407), including "definitions of work activities and engagement, specified limitations, verification procedures and the calculation of participation rates." In other words, the whole work program. Sebelius's HHS bureaucracy declared the existing TANF law a blank slate on which it can design any policy it chooses.

Obama Administration Claim #2: Even If We Did, the Republicans Tried It, Too

Though the Obama Administration is claiming it is not trying to get around the work requirements, it is also claiming that a group of Republican governors tried to do the same thing in 2005. Clinton also said in his statement yesterday that "the recently announced waiver policy was originally requested" by Republican governors.

Heritage welfare expert Robert Rector addressed this claim back on July 19. As Rector explains:

But [the governors'] letter makes no mention at all of waiving work requirements under the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. In fact, the legislation promoted in the letter-the Personal Responsibility and Individual Development for Everyone (PRIDE) Act-actually would have toughened the federal work standards. It proposed raising the mandatory participation rates imposed on states from 50 percent to 70 percent of the adult TANF caseload and increasing the hours of required work activity.

The governors' letter actually contradicts the Administration's main argument: If the law has always permitted HHS to waive the work requirements, then why didn't the governors just request waivers from then-President George W. Bush? Why would legislation be needed?

Two reasons: First, it has been clear for 15 years that the TANF law did not permit HHS to waive the work requirements. Second, the Republican governors were not seeking to waive the work requirements in the first place.

Obama's Evolution from Welfare to Work and Back

President Obama had a convenient change of heart regarding welfare reform when it was time to run for President. In 1998, when he was an Illinois state senator, Obama said:

I was not a huge supporter of the federal plan that was signed in 1996. Having said that, I do think that there is a potential political opportunity that arose out of welfare reform. And that is to desegregate the welfare population-meaning the undeserving poor, black folks in cities, from the working poor-deserving, white, rural as well as suburban.

The same year, he reiterated that "the 1996 legislation I did not entirely agree with and probably would have voted against at the federal level."

But in 2008, when he was running for President, Obama said he had changed his mind about welfare reform: "I was much more concerned 10 years ago when President Clinton initially signed the bill that this could have disastrous results..It had-it worked better than, I think, a lot of people anticipated. And, you know, one of the things that I am absolutely convinced of is that we have to work as a centerpiece of any social policy."

One of his 2008 campaign ads touted "the Obama record: moved people from welfare to work" and promised that as President, he would "never forget the dignity that comes from work."

This evolution is unsurprising, considering the vast majority of Americans favor requiring welfare recipients to work.

President Obama has finally accomplished what Democrats have been trying to do for years. He has even gotten President Clinton to turn his back on one of the signature achievements of his Administration to give him political cover-which Clinton was quick to do. In 1996, Clinton had to compromise and allow the tough work requirements to get the legislation passed.

Both Presidents have now revealed their true feelings about welfare-and there's no denying it.

Why Is (Illegal) President Obama Ending Welfare Requirements?

The Obama Administration came out swinging against its critics on welfare reform this week, with Press Secretary Jay Carney saying the charge that the Administration gutted the successful 1996 reform's work requirements is "categorically false" and "blatantly dishonest." Even former President Bill Clinton, who signed the reform into law, came out parroting the Obama team's talking points and saying the charge was "not true."

Mathew Staver, Chairman Liberty Counsel Action

Without question, Michele Bachmann and her congressional associates nicknamed the "National Security Five," have stirred up a hornet's nest, exposing potential radical Muslim infiltration and influence in strategic positions within our federal government.

On the list of government officials with highly questionable connections is a woman named Huma Abedin - Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's Deputy Chief of Staff.  Liberty Counsel Action supports investigation of anyone suspected of subversive activity against our nation, no matter who it implicates!  Please see my crucially important message below - Mat.

Huma Abedin, the longtime aid to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and wife of disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner, has come under scrutiny as being directly connected to the Muslim Brotherhood, a radical Islamic group.

Three of Abedin's family members-her late father, her mother, and her brother, are well-documented Muslim Brotherhood collaborators, if not functionaries.

Liberty Counsel Action's friend and ally on Capitol Hill, Frank Gaffney, President of the Center for Security Policy, recently wrote.

"A book published and translated by the mother of Obama administration State Department Deputy Chief of Staff Huma Abedin provides fresh evidence that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's closest aide has deeply problematic foreign associations that could, in violation of departmental guidelines, 'create... a heightened risk of foreign exploitation, inducement, manipulation, pressure, or coercion.'"

Defending America Takes More Than "Hope"

Speaking to veterans at the American Legion conference this week, President Obama said, "Today, every American can be proud that the United States is safer, stronger and more respected in the world."

That's quite a statement from a President who has granted legitimacy to extremist organizations like the Muslim Brotherhood and promised the Russians he would be "flexible" toward their demands on missile defense, while slighting American allies like Poland and the Czech Republic.

Heritage defense experts call Obama's defense strategy "a strategy of hope": "a hope that big wars are a thing of the past; a hope that America's allies will do more; and a hope that fewer resources do not jeopardize the lives of American soldiers."

These are flimsy hopes in the face of hostile nations and terrorist groups that want nothing more than the destruction of America.

If we do not reverse course-strengthening our military instead of gutting it, providing true security for our allies, and getting real about the groups that want us dead-the cost will be American lives.

The Administration has made a lot of noise about "pivoting" America's security focus toward Asia. It is a vital region, but Obama's policies of cutting the size of the military are the opposite of what we need to secure the country's interests around the world. Heritage's Bruce Klingner and Dean Cheng

explain:
A smaller Navy, Air Force, Army, and Marine Corps means a reduced U.S. presence overseas and, due to an even higher operational tempo, a greater strain on existing forces and equipment. Underfunding defense requirements could restrict potential U.S. policy options and increase the danger to U.S. forces during any future Asian engagements. And, ultimately, the price of such underfunding will be mission failure or American servicemen's lives.

Though Asia is important, the American homeland is still a target for terrorists, and terrorists are still training in the Middle East. Heritage's James Carafano has warned that "President Obama's determination to pull out from Afghanistan means the U.S. will leave the field with the enemy still standing." While al-Qaeda affiliates in Iraq are continuing violence daily, Carafano says that in Afghanistan, "after the American withdrawal, the Taliban may well sweep back and re-establish control of parts of Afghanistan. Al Qaeda could well follow, even as it continues to build up bases of operations elsewhere, particularly in the Middle East and North Africa."

As it stands now, America faces these threats with a military that is being hollowed out. Terrorists continue to try attacking us here at home. Our leaders must make defending America a priority and commit the resources to meet its challenges both at home and abroad.

As Carafano put it, "A belligerently aggressive Iran...an anti-democratic Russia...an expansive China...a wet-behind-the-ears 'Dear Leader' in North Korea...enduring threats from narco-terrorists and Islamist terrorists...there is every sign that, when Obama's four years are up, the world will be a potentially far more dangerous place than it was when he first took office."

In July, The Wall Street Journal's Tom McGinty and Brody Mullins published an eye-opening report that "Organized labor spends about four times as much on politics and lobbying as generally thought."

Subject: Jim, Tim and Frank

You really don't want to know this.....

Where are Jim, Tim, and Franklin now?

Just in case you might have wondered how their ineptitude affected their lives after they ruined so many dreams and lives....let me refresh your memory:

Where are Jim, Tim and Franklin now? Here's a quick look into the three former Fannie Mae executives who brought down Wall Street.

Franklin Raines - was a Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Fannie Mae. Raines was forced to retire from his position with Fannie Mae when auditing discovered severe irregularities in Fannie Mae's accounting activities. Raines left with a "golden parachute valued at $240 Million in benefits. The Government filed suit against Raines when the depth of the accounting scandal became clear.

Tim Howard - was the Chief Financial Officer of Fannie Mae. Howard "was a strong internal proponent of using accounting strategies that would ensure a "stable pattern of earnings" at Fannie. Investigations by federal regulators and the company's board of directors
Since concluded that management did manipulate 1998 earnings to trigger bonuses. Raines and Howard resigned under pressure in late 2004. Howard's Golden Parachute was estimated at $20 Million!

Jim Johnson - A former executive at Lehman Brothers and who was later forced from his position as Fannie Mae CEO. Investigators found that Fannie Mae had hidden a substantial amount of Johnson's 1998 compensation from the public, reporting that it was between $6 million and $7 million when it fact it was $21 million." Johnson is currently under investigation for taking illegal loans from Countrywide while serving as CEO of Fannie Mae. Johnson's Golden Parachute was estimated at $28 Million.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

FRANKLIN RAINES?

Raines works for the Obama Campaign as his Chief Economic Advisor.

TIM HOWARD?

Howard is a Chief Economic Advisor to Obama under Franklin Raines.

JIM JOHNSON?

Johnson was hired as a Senior Obama Finance Advisor and was selected to run Obama's
Vice Presidential Search Committee.

Jane Fonda's New Book

Some of you aren't old enough to have lived through Vietnam , some of you are fighting for our country now. All of us should read this! And, respond appropriately to preclude her from receiving any positive recognition... she deserves nothing of the sort.

I am sending this one out because so many do not know this truth... and also because she was on 3 times recently talking about her new book... and how good she feels in her 70's... she still does not know what she did wrong..her book just may not make the best list if more people knew... also... Barbara Walters said: Thank you all. Many died in Vietnam for our freedoms. I did not like Jane Fonda then and I don't like her now. She can lead her present life the way she wants and perhaps SHE can forget the past, but we DO NOT have to stand by without comment and see her "honored" as a "Woman of the Century." (I remember this well) For those who served and/or died. .. . NEVER FORGIVE A TRAITOR. SHE REALLY WAS A TRAITOR!! and now the illegal OBAMA wants to honor her......!!!!

In Memory of LT. C.Thomsen Wieland who spent 100 days at the Hanoi Hilton [Famous North Vietnam Prison] IF YOU NEVER FORWARDED ANYTHING IN YOUR LIFE FORWARD THIS SO THAT EVERYONE WILL KNOW!!!!!! A TRAITOR IS ABOUT TO BE HONORED. KEEP THIS MOVING ACROSS AMERICA

This is for all the kids born in the 70's and after who do not remember, and didn't have to bear the burden that our fathers, mothers and older brothers and sisters had to bear. Jane Fonda is being honored as one of the '100 Women of the Century'

BARBARA WALTERS WRITES:

Unfortunately, many have forgotten and still countless others have never known how Ms. Fonda betrayed not only the idea of our country, but specific men who served and sacrificed during the Vietnam War. The first part of this is from an F-4E pilot. The pilot's name is Jerry Driscoll, a River Rat. In 1968, the former Commandant of the USAF Survival School was a POW in Ho Lo Prison the ' Hanoi Hilton.' Dragged from a stinking cesspit of a cell, cleaned, fed, and dressed in clean PJ's, he was ordered to describe for a visiting American 'Peace Activist' the 'lenient and humane treatment' he'd received.

He spat at Ms. Fonda, was clubbed, and was dragged away. During the subsequent beating, he fell forward on to the camp Commandant's feet, which sent that officer berserk.

In 1978, the Air Force Colonel still suffered from double vision (which permanently ended his flying career) from the Commandant's frenzied application of a wooden baton. From 1963-65, Col. Larry Carrigan was in the 47FW/DO (F-4E's). He spent 6 years in the ' Hanoi Hilton'...the first three of which his family only knew he was 'missing in action'. His wife lived on faith that he was still alive. His group, too, got the cleaned-up, fed and clothed routine in preparation for a 'peace delegation' visit. They, however, had time and devised a plan to get word to the world that they were alive and still survived. Each man secreted a tiny piece of paper, with his Social Security Number on it, in the palm of his hand. When paraded before Ms. Fonda and a cameraman, she walked the line, shaking each man's hand and asking little encouraging snippets like: 'Aren't you sorry you bombed babies?' and 'Are you grateful for the humane treatment from your benevolent captors?'

Believing this HAD to be an act, they each palmed her their sliver of paper. She took them all without missing a beat.. At the end of the line and once the camera stopped rolling, to the shocked disbelief of the POWs, she turned to the officer in charge and handed him all the little pieces of paper...

Three men died from the subsequent beatings. Colonel Carrigan was almost number four but he survived, which is the only reason we know of her actions that day. I was a civilian economic development advisor in Vietnam , and was captured by the North Vietnamese communists in South Vietnam in 1968, and held prisoner for over 5 years. I spent 27 months in solitary confinement; one year in a cage in Cambodia ; and one year in a 'black box' in Hanoi ..

My North Vietnamese captors deliberately poisoned and murdered a female missionary, a nurse in a leprosarium in Banme Thuot , South Vietnam, whom I buried in the jungle near the Cambodian border. At one time, I weighed only about 90 lbs. (My normal weight is 170 lbs)

We were Jane Fonda's 'war criminals....' When Jane Fonda was in Hanoi , I was asked by the camp communist political officer if I would be willing to meet with her. I said yes, for I wanted to tell her about the real treatment we POWs received... and how different it was from the treatment purported by the North Vietnamese, and parroted by her as 'humane and lenient.' Because of this, I spent three days on a rocky floor on my knees, with my arms outstretched with a large steel weight placed on my hands, and beaten with a bamboo cane.

I had the opportunity to meet with Jane Fonda soon after I was released. I asked her if she would be willing to debate me on TV. She never did answer me. These first-hand experiences do not exemplify someone who should be honored as part of '100 Years of Great Women' Lest we forget....'

100 Years of Great Women' should never include a traitor whose hands are covered with the blood of so many patriots. There are few things I have strong visceral reactions to, but Hanoi Jane's participation in blatant treason, is one of them. Please take the time to forward to as many people as you possibly can.. It will eventually end up on her computer and she needs to know that we will never forget.

$16,000,000,000,000

Yesterday, the U.S. national debt passed $16 trillion. On President Barack Obama's watch, the debt has increased by 50 percent, as campaign promise after campaign promise has drowned in a sea of federal spending.

When he was running for President, Obama condemned George W. Bush for adding $4 trillion to the national debt over eight years, calling it "irresponsible" and "unpatriotic." Now-in less than four years-Obama's Administration has already added almost $6 trillion to the debt. That means he is on track to triple Bush's debt increase over eight years.

Clinton Is Wrong on Welfare Reform

Last night, in his nationally televised speech, former President Bill Clinton said the charge that President Obama has gutted welfare reform was "a real doozy."

Clinton, who vetoed welfare reform twice before signing the welfare reform law in 1996, echoed the Obama Administration and media "fact checkers," who have sworn that Obama's Health and Human Services Department (HHS) is actually trying to strengthen the work requirements of the law by doing away with them.

The fact is that the Administration has gutted welfare reform, and Heritage has detailed reports on exactly how-and what the consequences will be. Heritage expert Robert Rector, who helped write the 1996 law, answered Clinton this morning in no uncertain terms:

The Obama Administration will put in mothballs the formal purpose of welfare reform-to reduce the number of people dependent on government benefits. The Administration will abandon the legislative performance goal that encourages states to reduce welfare caseloads. It will weaken the "work participation" standards that require some 30 percent of able-bodied Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) recipients to engage in work activities for 20 to 30 hours per week.

New Documents Released From Hack of Democratic Party

10-26-16

A hacker who American intelligence officials believe has ties to the Russian government made public on Tuesday a second batch of documents suspected of having been stolen from the Democratic National Committee's computer system, leaving the organization rushing to contain damage or embarrassment less than two months before the presidential election.

The internal documents, which party officials were verifying for authenticity, were distributed at a cybersecurity conference in London.

The release was apparently the work of Guccifer 2.0, a self-identified Romanian hacker who claimed responsibility for publishing a trove of the committee's documents before the Democratic convention in July.

Donna Brazile, the interim chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, blamed Russian espionage for the hack and said that foreign agents were trying to help Donald J. Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, be elected.

Don't you just get tired of the liberal excuses?? They used to blame it on Bush, I guess that was getting kinda lame, you think?

Ecuador Cuts Internet of Julian Assange, WikiLeaks' Founder

Or read this to say the US state department pressured for the 'leak' to be stopped else it endanger Hillaries election.

LONDON - Ecuador said Tuesday that it had cut off Julian Assange's access to the internet in his exile in the country's London embassy, making clear that it feared being sucked into an effort to "interfere in electoral processes" in the United States by the activities of the WikiLeaks founder.

Ecuador said that it was not evicting Mr. Assange from its embassy, where he sought asylum four years ago. It said that its "temporary restriction" of internet services to Mr. Assange "does not prevent the WikiLeaks organization from carrying out its journalistic activities."

But it was clearly intended to keep the embassy from being the control center for that leaking operation. "The government of Ecuador respects the principle of nonintervention in the affairs of other countries," it said in a statement, "and it does not interfere in the electoral processes in support of any candidate in particular."

The internet cutoff was the latest twist in the odd tale of Mr. Assange's self-imposed exile, which began in 2012 when he sought refuge from a Swedish rape investigation that he said was a cover for an American effort to extradite him. Since then, his world has shrunk to a single apartment inside the small diplomatic compound in central London. He has communicated through the embassy's internet connections, visitors and, presumably, cellphones that would give him another form of internet access.

Ecuador's decision was the first sign that the government in Quito was beginning to wonder if its guest in London was overstaying his welcome.

It doubtless was considering the possibility that, should Hillary Clinton prevail in the United States election next month, it would have to explain its role as host to the man who, by remote control, appears to have coordinated the publication of emails purloined from people close to Mrs. Clinton, along with those of the Democratic National Committee and other organizations.

From a different source: October 24 at 5:41pm Ecuador admits that it shut down Internet access for Wikileaks founder Julian Assange who is sequestered in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London as an asylum seeker. The blackout came after he published the text of Hillary's speeches to Goldman Sachs. Wikileaks says the shutdown was in response to a request by US Secretary of State John Kerry who wants to prevent release of additional Hillary emails. Kerry denies the allegation. October 22 at 12:42pm There is nothing new about rigged elections. What IS new is the extent to which this phenomenon has grown and the extent to which politicians and their media allies are comfortable with it. Holding elections has become a game for politicians and social engineers, a game that is as serious as war. In this game, as in warfare, there is only one immoral act, and that is to lose. All else is secondary to winning the election, everything including honor, truth, compassion, justice, and even human lives. Once this mindset is understood, it is not difficult to see why vote raud is rampant. Paying someone to cast a ballot for dead people or to program electronic vote machines is cheap compared to the loot that the winners will take from the public treasury once they have the key. To the winner goes the spoils.

The EPA could regulate the entire industrial sector. Here's how:
Posted by Convention of States Project on June 13, 2016

A high-ranking Republican senator said Thursday that he fears that the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) climate rule could give it power to regulate the entire industrial sector.

Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) said that the arguments the EPA makes for why its Clean Power Plan is legal are so far-reaching that they could give the agency unprecedented power if upheld by the courts.

"If EPA can convince the courts to uphold their approach to regulating the utility industry through the means Congress never authorized, then they will take these same arguments and use them to restructure every industrial sector in this country in a manner that appeases the political obligations of the president," Inhofe said at a hearing of the Environment and Public Works Committee, which he chairs.

1st amendment doesn't apply for differing opinion

Congressmen say THIS constitutional right does not apply to "climate change" skeptics. Unsure what you believe about climate change and global warming? Be careful what you say -- according to 19 U.S. Congressmen, the First Amendment does not protect climate change skeptics.

The California Congressmen stated their position recently in a letter to California state attorney general Kamala Harris, who is investigating Exxon Mobile as well as numerous conservative think tanks and scientists on their statements regarding climate change. They're accusing the oil company of "defrauding the American people" by not coming out in support of "climate change science."

According to these Congressmen, the Constitution really shouldn't get in the way of advancing the current administration's policy agendas. The same goes for the Second Amendment. And the Tenth. They're able to make such outlandish claims because the Supreme Court has for years interpreted the Constitution as a "living document," subject to the whims and opinions of the times.

Bill & Hillary Clinton Scammed $16.5 Million From the State Department.

06-10-16

Much attention has been given to the presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump and Trump University, but there's been no media coverage or scrutiny of the Democratic frontrunner, Hillary Clinton's, husband Bill Clinton- who raked in roughly $16 million for working with "Laureate International Universities."

On April 24, 2010, Bill Clinton began his role as "honorary chancellor" for the Laureate system, right in the middle of Hillary's term as Secretary of State. This raises serious questions that haven't been asked or investigated: why did colleges in the Laureate system receive huge grants AFTER Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State? Isn't this yet another scandal that no one wants to touch?

LONDON Ecuador said Tuesday that it had cut off Julian Assange's access to the internet in his exile in the committees London embassy, making clear that it feared being sucked into an effort to interfere in electoral processes in the United States by the activities of the WikiLeaks founder.

Ecuador said that it was not evicting Mr. Assange from its embassy, where he sought asylum four years ago. It said that its 'temporary restriction' of internet services to Mr. Assange does not prevent the WikiLeaks organization from carrying out its journalistic activities.

But it was clearly intended to keep the embassy from being the control center for that leaking operation. The government of Ecuador respects the principle of nonintervention in the affairs of other countries, it said in a statement, and it does not interfere in the electoral processes in support of any candidate in particular.

In One Year, Obama's Admin. Spent $36 Million Hiding the Truth From the Public

March 17, 2017/

Via the AP:

Hiding the truth from the American people became an expensive undertaking for the Obama administration, according to a new report.
A new Associated Press analysis found that the former President and his federal agencies spent over $36 million trying to justify why they couldn't respond to Freedom of Information Act requests from the public.
$36 million. In one year alone!
Remember, this is the same man who declared from day one that he would run the most transparent administration in history. What a crock!
The Obama administration in its final year in office spent a record $36.2 million on legal costs defending its refusal to turn over federal records under the Freedom of Information Act, according to an Associated Press analysis of new U.S. data that also showed poor performance in other categories measuring transparency in government.
For a second consecutive year, the Obama administration set a record for times federal employees told citizens, journalists and others that despite searching they couldn't find a single page of files that were requested.
And it set records for outright denial of access to files, refusing to quickly consider requests described as especially newsworthy, and forcing people to pay for records who had asked the government to waive search and copy fees.
While racking up such exorbitant fees to fight sunlight on federal inner workings, the government was also forced to admit they were wrong to initially refuse to turn over all or parts of records more than one-third of the time.
Of the $36 million, Loretta Lynchs Justice Department led the way at battling transparency, spending $12 million, nearly twice the nearest agency.
