John Kerry’s Buddies In Iran Sent Warships To The Panama Canal
Word must have gotten out that Joe Biden is a paper tiger. Now even Iran has slipped its leash and wandered into our neck of the woods… with their warships.Reports are that Iran has made a move to intimidate a critical American trade route.
Keep in mind, this is the same Iran that made waves recently because they were engaged in acts of piracy, hijacking foreign ships sailing on trade routes in the Persian Gulf between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
Here is what is being said about their presence at the Panama Canal.
Iran’s navy is set to station warships for the first time in the Panama Canal, a critical trade route in America’s backyard that has never before seen an Iranian military presence. Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, the commander of Iran’s navy, said on Wednesday that his forces will establish a presence in the Panama Canal later this year, marking the first time Iran’s military has entered the Pacific Ocean.
Iran in recent years has placed a greater focus on moving its military into Latin American territories as it strengthens relations with anti-American dictators in the region, most notably in Venezuela. Iranian vessels have docked more frequently in Venezuela as Tehran’s hardline regime seeks to prop up dictator Nicolás Maduro. These moves are meant to provoke the United States and signal that Tehran has the ability to station its military apparatus a stone’s throw from U.S. territory.
Joseph Humire, a national security analyst who focuses on Latin American issues as executive director of the Center for a Secure Free Society think tank, said Iran has been laying the groundwork for this type of voyage by holding joint exercises with allies such as Russia and China, two nations that have also been strengthening their ties with Latin American countries. — Washington Free Beacon
Surely this is an innocent visit, right? We are, after all, talking about the best buddies of Obama/Biden/Kerry.

US Navy forces recently intercepted a fishing vessel smuggling thousands of AK-47 rifles from Iran to Yemen, the US military said on Tuesday. The vessel, which was crewed by six Yemeni nationals, was sailing through the Gulf of Oman on January 6 when it was caught, US 5th Fleet said in a statement. A team from the patrol coastal ship USS Chinook discovered and boarded the ship with support from fellow Cyclone-class patrol ship USS Monsoon and the guided-missile destroyer USS The Sullivans. Navy forces found that the ship was carrying 2,116 AK-47 assault rifles.–Business Insider

This column is supposed to be about your firearms rights, in the continuing assault on those rights. Bear with me, folks. I'll get there, by circuitous route. First, I want to say a few hundred well chosen words about Senator John F. Kerry. (JFK. Get?) Senator Kerry, in case you haven't heard 50,000 times, is the junior senator from Massachusetts who was the Democratic candidate running against President Bush.
Senator Kerry and his party claims they want to “give the government back to the people.” They are the party of the little guy. They want to create jobs (as if the government can create jobs), provide health care for everybody (read: socialized medicine), provide education (read indoctrination in socialism) for every child, protect the environment (read: lockup natural resources.) They want “the rich” to pay their fair share of taxes. They want to pass “sensible, comprehensive firearms safety laws.” Republicans, by contrast, are the party of special interest, who want to give tax breaks to their rich friends at the expense of education, health care, and the environment. Republicans are the party that wants to send American jobs overseas. Republicans are supported by selfish, the special interest groups like the NRA and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
The Kerry campaign is supported by socialists. The various government entitlement and victimized lobbies support them. The powerful gay and lesbian lobbies support them. The firearms safety (read: ban guns)lobbies support them. The Let-The-U.N. run the world internationalist movement supports them. Virtually all the labor unions support Kerry: AFL-CIO, teachers unions, government employees unions, entertainment industry guilds and unions.
John Sweeney, president of the AFL-CIO, recently announced his organizations official support of the Kerry campaign, committing the dues paid by several million blue-and white-collar workers to help bring about Senator Kerry's election to the presidency. The AFL-CIO has opposed the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the free trade agreement with China, as being bad for American workers. AFL-CIO has lobbied in favor of legislation to allow energy (oil and gas) development on part of the Arctic national wildlife refuge, as being good for American labor by providing well-paid jobs in the energy industry, how does Senator Kerry reward the support of organized labor? Why, that's easy: Senator Kerry voted in favor of NAFTA and in favor of free trade with China, he voted against energy development in ANWR.
Let us discuss some of the ways Senator Kerry plans to help the little guy, Joe Sixpack of the working stiff. Kerry wants to make the rich pay their fair share of taxes (except the democratic rich). He says he will do this by rolling back the Bush tax cuts. That won't just raise taxes on “the rich,” it will raise taxes on every income earner. Under the Bush tax cuts, the average working families tax burden will go down about $1500 this year. Under Kerry's plan, that families tax burden will go back up $1500 (or more) as soon as President Kerry can swing it. During his 20- year Senate tenure, he has voted in favor of tax increases on 350 occasions. His campaign-trail promises indicate he plans to raise taxes by at least 900 billion if he is elected.
Now about those “greedy rich people” whose taxes Kerry wants to raise: the top 1 percent (1 percent) of income earners. Those earnings $293,000 or more per year, taking in 17.3 percent of the total income brought in by all Americans. They pay 34 percent of all taxes. The top five percent (5%) of income earners pay 53 percent of all taxes. The top 50% of income earners, those earning $26,000 or more per year, the 96% of all taxes. The bottom 50% of income earners pay four percent (4%) of all taxes.
About Senator Kerry himself, hard-working man of the people: he was born into an upper-crust old- money family in Boston, a family in which had spent most of its old money. He married Julia Florence, daughter of a family worth 300 million. After the couples two children were born, he left (but did not divorce) Julia and took up with a sequence of Hollywood starlets. Then he met Teresa Heinz, widow of the late Senator Heinz, who was killed in a plane crash. Senator Heinz was a heir to the Heinz ketchup and condiments fortune, worth 700 million. Kerry divorced his first wife and married the grieving widow Heinz. Now, that's the way for a hard-working guy to advance his fortune, so to speak. As an aside, the Heinz Corp. has 27 manufacturing in distributing plants in the U.S., and over 50 plants in other countries. Shipping American jobs overseas, anyone?
Now we come to his service in Vietnam in the late '60s. He was a Navy lieutenants serving in patrol boats on the Mekong Delta. In his four-month in-country tour he garnered more metal which he mentions only about 3000 times in every speech that Audie Murphy earned in a similar time span. Now he says that his four-month combat service makes him more qualified than President Bush to be commander-in-chief to America's Armed Forces. (I wonder if my four years of service as a lieutenant in the blue-water Navy about the same time as Kerry makes me more qualified than President Bush.)
Upon completion of his abbreviated hitch in the Navy (he requested and received in early out), Kerry joined the so-called anti-war movement. He hung out with Jane Fonda and other high-profile peace activist, and founded and led the Vietnam veterans against the war, most of whose members had never been to Vietnam, or even in the military. In speeches before Congress and at anti-war demonstrations, political candidate Kerry condemned his band of brother still serving in Vietnam as war criminals who routinely committed atrocities worse than those of Hitler or gang is con. The charges were false, and the information Kerry broadcast with propaganda concocted by the Soviet KGB, as we know from files released after the Soviet road unions collapsed. Now that were service is again considered a resume-enhancement; Kerry advertises himself as a war hero.
In as a Senator, Kerry has demonstrated his commitment to security and a strong defense by its twenty-year voting record on propose weapons systems, for example the B-1 and the B-2 bombers, the F-14 and F-15 fighters, the Apache helicopter, and the Patriot and Trident missile systems. Senator Kerry voted against them all. Further demonstrating his toughness on defense matters he voted to cut funding for the M1A-1 Abrams main-battle tank, the Bradley fighting vehicle, the tomahawk missile, and the F.-16 fighter programs. Note that these are the very weapons systems we are using in the war on terror. (Since Senator Kerry has a history of absenteeism, and he has missed 37 of 62 Senate votes recently, we might wonder whether he shows up only when he wants to vote against defense bills.)
As to the intelligence service necessary for national security: Senator Kerry was the sole sponsor of a bill to cut 1.5 billion from the intelligence budget during the years 1996-2000. (The bill never reached the Senate floor.) Today, he criticizes our intelligence services as “ineffective, in needing a major overhaul.” Now, that's chutzpah!
On the matter of international relations, Senator Kerry claims that his presidential campaign enjoys broad support from leaders of other nations but he doesn't name those nations or leaders. We do know, however, that Kikn Jong-il, the Communist dictator of North Korea, admires Senator Kerry. In fact, the North Korean news agency, mouthpiece of the dictatorship, gave the Kerry campaign, in his public pronouncements, glowing coverage. (Well, they did until the news of their support got out in America. Then they retracted their endorsement of Kerry.) I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Fidel Castro of Cuba, Basher Assad of Syria, and our old friend Usama Bin Laden are rooting for a Kerry win, too. Saddam Hussein probably would be, but he's no longer a world leader.
O.K., I said I would get to the gun rights issue, so here is. Senator Kerry has the 96% favorable rating from the Americans for democratic action, one of the furthest-left of the far left political-action organizations. His voting record shows him to be the most liberal member of the Senate, considerably to the left of the hero of Chappaquidick, Senator Ted Kennedy. And we all know where he is stands on the firearms rights issue. So how do you think your firearms rights would fare under a Kerry presidency?
I rest my case. Be sure to vote. And get everyone you know to vote, too.

Here we have an example that demonstrates this reality further and it comes via Kenneth Timmerman, who has picked up on the fact that the new Secretary of State – John Kerry – has a son-in-law with family still living in Iran. This reality could conceivably affect how Kerry deals with the Iranians.
In a greeting to the Iranian people on the occasion of the traditional New Year (Nowruz) holiday last week, Secretary of State John Kerry exposed a secret that journalists and academics have been agonizing over for the past six weeks: the fact that his daughter has married an Iranian-American who has extensive family ties to Iran.
I am proud of the Iranian-Americans in my own family, and grateful for how they have enriched my life,
Kerry said in the official statement. Kerry also said he was strongly committed to resolving the differences between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, to the mutual benefit of both of our people.
Politicians like to keep their families off-limits to the press, a decorum enforced vigorously when it comes to politicians who are in favor with the national media but ruthlessly discarded for others. But in Kerry's case, there could be larger ramifications.
Since its inception, the FBI has vetted U.S. government officials involved in national security issues, and it generally won't grant clearances to individuals who are married to nationals of an enemy nation or have family members living in that country, for fear of divided loyalties or, more simply, blackmail.
There it is. Certainly, even leftists can comprehend this concept without inserting race into their thought processes (oh, wait). Imagine a scenario in which a representative of Iran's mullahs approaches the State Department with a list of demands that, if not met, could have serious consequences for Kerry's in-laws living in Iran.
