Portland Officials Warns People Not To Call 911 Except Life Or Death Emergency - YouTube

Portland public safety Commissioner Gonzalez made it clear that YOU ARE YOUR OWN FIRST RESPONNDER as he stated that the 911 system in Portland has been under immense strain, as he stated on X (formerly Twitter):

10-07-23

"Our 911 system is getting hammered this morning with a multiple person incident — multiple overdoses in northwest park blocks. Please do not call 911 except in event of a life/death emergency or a crime in progress (or a chance of apprehending the suspect)."

This development is a stark reminder of the consequences of defunding the police, a trend that Portland, like many other cities, initially embraced. However, the city partially reversed this policy in 2021, in response to residents no longer feeling safe.

Regrettably, Portland has seen an increase in crime, homelessness, and drug-related issues within its neighborhoods since the onset of the pandemic, despite efforts to channel funds into relief initiatives.

The public safety commissioner’s request underscores the need for responsible firearm ownership, as it could potentially leave victims of Portland's escalating crime with no choice but to rely on their Second Amendment rights for self-defense.

Wheeler made national news for his refusal to let Portland police protect Federal ICE immigration officers from violent protesters outside their office. Wheeler again made the news when he allowed far left Antifa protesters to block traffic and harass motorists. He threatened to deny a public meeting of pro-Trump supporters. Wheeler tried to hid public union records from the Oregon Freedom Foundation.

Government Waste Award

Portland homeless were put up in local hotels costing taxpayers nearly 3X the cost of apartments. The project was so popular that ( along with the governments "no refusal" shelter policy) the hoomeless population has grown to the largest in the nation. It has attracted transist from around the area and now half of the population is from out of the area.

Getting the Feds to buy Alcohol

$51,000 of federal tax money (your money) went to Portland OHSU students research project studying the effects of alcohol on birds. It is rumored both birds got drunk. OHSU authorities maintain the birds were the only ones to drink booze, (they said with slurred speech).

Portland Public Schools

Portland Public Schools paid a teacher $139,000 to stay home for 22 months because he was too dangerous to be around children. 55,000 people got Medicaid in Portland that were not eligible. Perhaps they were part of the people participating on the bird alcohol project. City workers are used to campaign on public time. Might as well, keeps them out of the bird testing anyway. Property tax should it come to that to fund PERS about $1300 dollars on ever piece of property in Oregon. Kate Brown says all she can see is her appendices. (hint: where would your head have to be?)
